Obituary of Mildred E. O'Connell

Mildred E. “Millie” O’Connell, 91, of Syracuse, died on Tuesday at Crouse Hospital. She had retired as a clerk from OCRRA and had formerly worked at Walker Pharmaceuticals. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and a former Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, swimming and gardening. She was pre-deceased by her husband Robert O’Connell.
Millie is survived by her children: Karen M. (William) Strodel of Liverpool, William J. O’Connell of Syracuse, Robin (Jacob) Zoll of Syracuse; sister Jean Boyle of Syracuse; grandchildren: Korrie Taylor, Matthew, Kelly (Salvatore) Guilliano, Jacob O’Connell; great-grandchildren: Trent & Tatum Taylor, Kinsley & Hudson O’Connell; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10am at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 10:30 in Blessed Sacrament Church with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4-8pm in the funeral home, 3111 James Street.
