Mary P. Sorbello, 90, of Syracuse, died on Thursday at Loretto.  She was a graduate of Canastota High School, Class of 1945.  She had worked at University Hospital, Oneida Limited, and the Syracuse Marriott Hotel.  She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church, a member of its Altar and Rosary Society and the choir.  She was also a member of the Coalition Against Smoking in NYS and the Society of the Miraculous Medal of Mary..  Mrs. Sorbello enjoyed cooking and being with her family.  She is pre-deceased by her husband Joseph F., parents Carmen & Alfia Patane, sister Concetta Mascari and brothers John, Carmen & Frank Patane.
She is survived by her sons: Joseph G. of Syracuse; Richard M. (Melissa) of Dracut, MA; and her grandchildren Brian (Stacy), Emily, and Richard; two great-granddaughters, Sophia (Emily) and Julianna (Brian) and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 11a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church with burial in St. Agatha’s Cemetery.  Calling hours are Sunday from 3-6 pm at the funeral home, 3111 James St.  Contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
