Obituary of Charlene Selner Grismore

Charlene S. Grismore, 75, of Liverpool, NY passed on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Crouse Hospital. Born on September 8, 1945 to Lillian Russell Taylor and Charles Lester Selner in Syracuse. She graduated from Nottingham High School in 1963 and received her Degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1967. She was an accomplished rider and member of the BU equestrian team. She married the love of her life, Ron Grismore, in Denver on May 18, 1968. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband Ron Grismore, daughter Dana (David) Sizing, daughter Amy Grismore, sister Sally (Cherie) Selner, sister Kay (Windsor) Price, her grandchildren, Zachary, Reilly and Lucas and a host of devoted nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Patricia (James) Selner Hughes. Charlene was a retired physical therapist who devoted many years to the children she loved working with at the ARC of Onondaga. She lived for summers spent on Skaneateles Lake with her family and friends and had perfected the art of making pies. She was an avid quilter and as such blessed her family with handmade treasures to remember her by. She was her grandchildren’s greatest cheerleader and number one fan and loved to cut a rug with her husband Ron whenever the opportunity presented itself. Her infectious smile and cheerful demeanor will be greatly missed by all that loved her. To the world you were one person, but to us you were our world. A private service will be held for family and close friends at a later date when it is safe to do so. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
