Obituary of John T. Fleming

John T. Fleming, 69, of Syracuse, lost his battle with cancer on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Crouse Hospital. Originally from Ohio, John moved to New York a number of years ago and last worked as a painter for St. Joseph’s Hospital.
He is survived by his long time companion Susan Jenks; brothers: Patrick (Karen) and Tim (Denise) Fleming; sister Roberta (Gary) White; daughter Rachel Miller; stepson; James Delfuoco; 2 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; and 3 step great-grandchildren.
John loved animals, gardening, fishing, stained glass, woodworking and tools. He was creative in bringing his skills to projects around the home and yard; using recycled materials whenever possible. He hated to waste anything!
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 8th from 12-1pm with a service at the conclusion at the Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home, 1217 N. Salina Street. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the CNY SPCA on Molloy Road or the Humane Society of CNY on Taft Road.
