Joseph R. Talarico Sr., 83, of Syracuse, died on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was a native of Jessup, PA and a 1956 graduate of Jessup High School. He had retired from Local 333 after 40 years as a construction foreman and union steward. He was a former coach with Eastwood Little League and Eastwood Bears Football. He liked playing cards and the horses. He was pre-deceased by his parents: Ferdinand Sr. and Angela Talarico; a brother Ferdinand Jr.; and grandson Alex Talarico. His family includes his wife of 57 years Patricia; children: Joseph II (Suzanne), Kim (Jim) Walzer, Anthony (Lindsy); sisters: Lucille Massaro, Joan Wolfe, Raffaella Aiello; brother Peter; grandchildren: Bella, Emma, Lily, Lucas, Kingston, Anthony, Zachary; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held on Monday at 10am in All Saints Church with interment to follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to TilliesTouch.org.
