Obituary of Theresa Steinbrecher
In Loving Memory of Teresa Steinbrecher 8/30/27 - 1/27/22
Teresa peacefully passed at St. Joseph's Hospital the morning of January 27th. She had pneumonia for over 2 months and ended up with Covid in her final week. She was born in Syracuse, NY. Her parents, Vincent Riviezzo and Rose Macarelli, were immigrants from Italy. Teresa is in a great place now with God, her husband Charles (her only love), along with numerous loved ones. Teresa was named well as she was angelic, like Mother Teresa. She had the patience of a saint and was the sweetest person you would ever meet. She was one of God's greatest gifts. She always put others before herself. It was never about her. She was extremely compassionate and always patient and kind. Her love for people and animals was inspiring and always visible. She wouldn't hurt a bug. She was an amazing woman loved by all. Always helped others at the drop of a hat. She loved spending time with her family and it was her main priority and focus. Her positive energy brightened everyone's day and everyone gravitated towards her. Her big smile and laughter was contagious and it was such a joy to be in her presence. She was fun-loving, witty, smart, and the best mom anyone could ask for. Teresa loved to feed everyone who walked through her door, whether you were hungry or not. Her specialty was homemade pies that no one could beat. Everything she made was with Love. Everything she did was with love. She had so many wonderful attributes. This woman was so honest, faithful, and always true to her word. Always respectful, reliable, and dependable. A very generous soul. She was a very independent woman up until she had to go into Elderwood Nursing Home and had resided there a little over 4 years, with having physical limitations. She remained strong though after having a stroke, hip replacement, kidney stones, pneumonia and double pneumonia numerous times, and the flu numerous times. She would say "Nothing kills me" and make us laugh - she sure was a funny lady. She had a bunch of great one-liners. Teresa was a member of St. Daniel's Church and helped volunteer. In her earlier years she was a member of Lyncourt Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary. She worked split shifts at AT&T and Community General Hospital as a switchboard operator. She helped a cat coalition spay/neuter cats in the neighborhood. She loved life and never took anyone or anything for granted. She was amazingly thankful for everything, right up until her last breath. The world was a much better place with her in it, but her legacy will live on. I hope she inspires everyone to be a better version of himself/herself and handle matters with love and patience. She was a ray of sunshine and will never be forgotten. Her spirit will always be with us. God Bless You Teresa.
