Obituary of Charles R. Roeschlaub
Charles “Chick” Roeschlaub , 75, passed away on Saturday, June 11th in Syracuse in the company of loved ones.
As the only child of Robert (Bob) Roeschlaub and Arlene Roeschlaub, he was predeceased by his parents, his stepmother Edith, Aunts Esther Bitzer and Marie Lizo, whom he supported in their later years, and several other aunts and uncles.
Graduating from Eastwood High School, Chick then studied at Michigan State University. and enlisted in the Airforce Reserves, where he honed his legendary cooking skills.

Chick was a dedicated member and supporter of faith at the Reformed Church of Syracuse and the Boy Scouts of America where he received the prestigious Silver Beaver Award.
His incredible support of the Syracuse community was displayed by his board service to The Everson Museum of Art, The George & Rebecca Barnes Foundation, the Syracuse Northeast Community Center, NIA of Florists, FTD, Teleflora and a multitude of other appointments where his knowledge and experience were praised and sought after.
A stalwart member of The Century Club of Syracuse, his one of a kind laugh and spirit will be remembered by members and staff alike.
Fond memories by his pastor, Ryan Cogswell, lifelong friend, Don Klug, godson, Jason Klug and loyal and caring friends in Syracuse and around the country echo true with a universal quote:
“So many things will never be the same without this kind, gentle and devoted man”.
