Dear Family of Betty, We have all lost a most gracious, loving and kind Friend. Both Betty and Dave have been giants in their service to others, the Church and the Lord. They have been a blessed inspiration to me in all the years i have known them. Betty's caring spirit at Francis House has brought such great peace to so many, and her perpetual smile and welcoming spirit let all know how much she cared. My prayers, thoughts and friendship are with you all. I will offer Mass for her tomorrow (Sunday). Blessings to you all. Prayerfully, Fr. Robert Yeazel

To the family of Betty: Hope and David, MaryBeth and Allison, Tom, Christopher, Sarah, Mary, and Dominic: I am so incredibly sorry to hear about Betty’s passing. She was an amazing women, who touched so many lives. Our lives are richer for her wisdom, her guidance, her wit, her generosity, her love, her touch, her smile. The world lost a beautiful soul on November 3. I will never forget Betty; she will stay in my heart and soul into eternity. I will say Betty’s name, often, and smile, with love. I lit a candle tonight, to honor Betty, and I said a little prayer. To Betty, I am so grateful to have known you. You left an incredible mark on this world, making it so much better, in so many ways. You spread your love and gifts wherever you went, and many of us are so blessed to have those gifts that came from your heart. Thank you. Just thank you. I miss those days before JCPenney closed in Shoppingtown, when you would stop in to my second job and look for me to just chat. You always lit up the room. And you made me feel so special. Again, thank you. I never got to meet your husband David, but I did know your granddaughter, Lauren. I have no doubt they are both holding each of your hands, showing you the ropes.
