Obituary of Linda K. Pier, M.D.

Linda K. Pier, M.D. of Syracuse, NY passed away on April 17, 2023. Linda was born in Utica, NY. She graduated from Utica College and went on to earn her M.D. degree from SUNY- Upstate. She did her residency at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. Linda worked as a Radiologist at several private and public practices. She held positions at SUNY-Upstate, Crouse Hospital, V.A. Hospital in Syracuse, and Roswell Park in Buffalo. Linda was an early advocate for women’s imaging and gave presentations on this topic. Linda was also a very accomplished Artist. Her skills in this field were natural and apparent from an early age. She supplemented her passion for art by attending classes and workshops at Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute in Utica, NY. Her work was exhibited at several museum, gallery and, art association venues. Her work is included in a number of private collections. In Syracuse, Linda is survived by her husband Bruce her son Greg and daughter in law Betsy and grandchildren Elsa and Cate. In N. Carolina she is survived by her son Dave, his wife and, grandchildren Ivy and Charlie. Also Surviving are several cousins and their respective families. Online condolences to www.shepardsonfh.com.
