Norma A. Nendza, 83, of Syracuse, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 25, 2023. She retired as a senior stenographer with Upstate. Prior to her employment she was a stay-at-home mom. She loved children, music, the Adirondack Mountains, and going to the casinos.
She is pre-deceased by her parents: Alvin and Catherine Eiffe Christian; sisters: Margaret Scallion, Donna Christian; brother Michael Christian and niece Susan Scallion.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years Richard A. Nendza; daughters: Karen (John) Stanley of Norwood, MA, Christine (Don Verrette) Nendza of North Bay, NY, Mary Beth (Leo) Cortes of Arnold, MD, Monica Nendza of Watertown, MA; son Richard (Kristen) Nendza of Medfield, MA; grandchildren: Sarah, John & Ryan Stanley, Audrey & Everett Cortes, Charlotte & Caroline Nendza; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 1 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 2 at 10:30 am in Blessed Sacrament Church where Norma was a lifetime communicant. Burial will be at a later date.
