Obituary of Florence C. Modafferi

Florence “Flo” (nee Gebhardt) Modafferi, 88, of Syracuse, died on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  She loved being with her family and was a wonderful wife, mom, and nonny. Flo enjoyed going to the Casinos, bingo and making crafts at Parkrose Estates.
She was pre-deceased by her husband of 61 years Anthony; parents John and Johanna Gebhardt; brothers: Charles, William, John, David, James & Thomas Gebhardt; sisters: Dorothy Barone, Catherine Carolin, Mary Wenzel, Margaret Welch, Loretta DeSpirito, Ann Warlick, Helen Paoli, Joanne Flaherty, Edna Borio & Alice Williams.
She is survived by her daughters: Angela (Ed) Ziemba of Brewerton, Christine (Rob Garry) Modafferi of Greenville, SC, Toni (Scott) Ouimet of Brewerton; grandchildren: Nicole (Brandon Shaw) Ziemba & Rebecca (Cody) Powers, Hannah, Eve & Jacob Garry; great-grandchildren: Landon, Declan & Vivienne Shaw, Cora Powers; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 16 from 3-6pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home with a service at the conclusion.  Burial will be in the future in Veterans Cemetery.
