Obituary of Helen Sharon Bedard-Giromini

Please share a memory of Helen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Helen Sharon Bedard-Giromini passed away Tuesday, August 8th, holding the loving hands of her family after a hard-fought battle with multiple illnesses.
Helen was born and raised in Syracuse and graduated from North High School.  She worked in purchasing at Crouse Hinds, where she met her first husband Joe. They both then worked at General Electric. After marrying Joe and raising her three children, Helen worked as an administrative assistant for pediatrician Dr. Charles Hunter and later at Amtek Corporation, for her brother Bob. Helen married her second husband, Nate, in 1991. Her retirement in 2001 marked the beginning of her most cherished role as Grandma. Helen hosted her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, loved ones and close friends for many years filled with happy memories of going to the beach, boating, waterskiing, jet skiing, family picnics and just spending time together at her camp on Sandy Pond in Pulaski, NY. As her family grew, Helen and Nate relocated to the Lakes of Melbourne senior community in FL in 2005. During her time there she enjoyed a variety of card games, music, and other events with her group of golden girls and guys.
Helen was pre-deceased by her parents, Wilbert and Norma Banuski and two husbands, Joseph Bedard, and Nathan Giromini all of Syracuse NY.
Helen is survived by her cherished siblings and their spouses William and Teresa Banuski of Bridgeport, NY, Judy and Gary Baker of Tempe, AZ, Robert and Lisa Banuski of Skaneateles, NY and Jane Banuski of Baldwinsville, NY.  Helen’s legacy shines brightly through her three adoring children; Joseph Bedard of Salisbury, MD, Sharon Bedard of Palm Bay, FL, Christine and Jeffrey Bell of Melbourne, FL, and her beloved kitty Kobe. She was the doting grandmother to five remarkable grandchildren; Jacque (Darius) Hooper, Tim (Ariel) Bell, Stephen Bedard, Jessica Bell (fiancé Dylan Reasoner), and Madeline (Rolando) Perez, along with her five great-grandchildren who gave light to her life in her later years; Sophia and Luke Bell, Colton, Wyatt and Hudson Hooper and the numerous four-legged family members that she loved.
