Obituary of Jean Frances Bonito

Jean F. (Burkhardt) Bonito, 88, formerly of Syracuse, died on October 14, 2023 in Jacksonville, NC.  She was the daughter of Frank and Catherine Leamy Burkhardt. She graduated from Onondaga Valley Academy.  Mrs Bonito was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and had worked for Carrier International for 20 years.  
She was pre-deceased by her Husband Peter Bonito, Great Niece Michele René, Great-great Twin Nephews Michael Thomas and Nicholas John and her Sister Eleanor Mortell.
Survivors include her Niece: Catherine Mortell (John) Carter; Great Niece, Melissa (Scott Manning) Rose; Great Nephews: Michael (Gina) Carter and Matthew (Lyndsey) Carter;  Great-great Nieces and Nephews Christian (Megan), Kaylee, Savannah, Caleb, Camden, Jacob and Jack, and Great-great-great Niece Nora.
The funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 30 at 10:30am in Blessed Sacrament Church with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum.  Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 29 from 3-5pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home.
