Bob was a great guy! As his neighbor in TX - I said Hello years ago (almost every afternoon he was on his patio doing his paperwork - he was an early to bed, Very early to rise guy (at like 5 am to ihop to see a friend, then to work), ..anyway, I said Hello yrs ago when I saw that he had a little picnic table with an American flag, for the local squirrel (that he named "chubby" - he would buy it peanuts and put them out). Then we got talking about a neighborhood wild cat, (he gave it the name that a niece came up with "Tuny", because after feeding the starving cat a BBQ rib, he later realized it liked tuna, and sardines), I said I gave it some of my extra food, then to realize that abt the same time, he had been buying it cat food, (and in winters he got it a little house/hut on his patio, and bought it an electric heating pad !). ..when he visited NY he was always worried abt the cat - he made sure that I'd feed it (one time while in he was in NY = I realized it had kittens), ...he always kept food out and the heater on in winter.. A raccoon would come by late at night and "steal" the food (he named it "Rocky"), then a Possum would come by and steal the food - (he named "Stinky") - he bought a trap and he relocated that possum to a local golf course. ..speaking of golf, he would tell me abt every visit to NY, and the golf tournaments he and friends had (and his long putt on 18th that he made when everyone was watching, and hitting the local bars after = having fun w family and friends), and his visits to Cape cod - any story that he told me abt growing up in NY would remind me of several stories of me growing up in CT - ...but, I could barely remember to tell him my stories and get a word in, because he would keep talking one story after another and another !! ...Haha. I would talk to him a few times a week = over his fence on the patio - through his MANY plants and cactuses, and hear abt his work week and his relatives, and his plans, ...he was often cooking something on the grill = and he would say, "bring a plate over", I'd say, OK, but I am not a big steak eater, just a taste, is fine w me, ...then he'd load me a plate with a big steak that he had the butcher special cut and he would marinate it perfectly (and tell me abt how a relative taught him how to cook them (he usually did gas grill, one time, he did coals - and that day, they did a fire inspection ! ..not suppose to have that on patio - but they did not give him a problem...), and veggies w garlic from NY, and he'd give me honey from NY, and venison jerkey. He had his chair on his patio, and set up his tv inside at an angle = to watch the Rangers or Cowboys, and a little old radio he had from one of his hunting lease's on the patio = I still remember during the Eclipse here in TX was perfect, completely dark, all neighbors were out, and he had Pink Floyd = Dark side of the moon playing..

Our hearts ignited in high school. From then our life's changed- but the flame always remained.
Recently rekindled with hopes of tomorrow-today my heart aches and is filled with sorrow. I will miss him.

Bob was a fun, funny man. I loved meeting and working with you. I loved the stories you and Tim told me to make me laugh. I loved our trips to the lake. You called me several times when Tim died to check on me. I love you, Bob, and will miss you.
