Obituary of Verna E. Boose

Verna (Simonds) Boose of Onondaga Hill, Syracuse, NY and Port Charlotte, FL passed away on Sept. 20th at the age of 96.  She as born in Syracuse, NY and graduated from North High School and CCBI.  She was a legal secretary for the firm Blitman and King for 37 years. She was a member of United Baptist Church of Syracuse and First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte.  She enjoyed reading and painting.  In Florida, she volunteered at the Red Cross, the Cultural Center and taught English to Spanish speaking women.  She had many fond memories of spending summers with her granddaughters, her favorite were the tea parties.
She is predeceased by her cherished husband of 75 years, Charles B. Boose.
She is survived by her loving daughter Lynn (Rick Dobosz); two granddaughters: Ashley (Andrew Klahr), and Shelby Milizia; two great-granddaughters: Ryann and Ariana Klahr and one great-grandson Jackson Klahr.
A gravesite service for family and close friends for both Verna and Charles will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, 800 Grant Blvd., in Syracuse on Wednesday, Oct. 2nd at 3pm.
