Joyce (Parks) Tily, 87, passed away in her sleep on September 24, 2024. She was the third child of Larmon and Genevieve Parks, born on November 10, 1936. She  grew up in Baldwinsville. She met Leon Tily and they were married in 1954, Leon predeceased her in 2011. They had a wonderful 57 years of marriage. 
Joyce was loved by all who knew her. She had a passion for life and found joy in all she did.  She drove a school bus for Jamesville-Dewitt School for many years.  She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed knitting, painting and making crafts/jewelry.  After her retirement she spent her winters in Florida in a retirement community where she called Bingo, golfed, bowled, and was involved in coordinating events in the community. She made crafts and sold them at craft fairs. 
Joyce was the mother to 6 children, Deb (Jim) Ziegler of Syracuse, Don (Lorrie) Tily of Locke, Doug (Brenda) Tily of Pompey, Diane (Ed) Kogut of Hyde Park, Donna Hatch of North Syracuse, Darlene (Bill) Yager of Wassaic. She had 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by 2 brothers and her twin sister, and is survived by a sister, Beverly Fairbanks of Baldwinsville.
Joyce will be missed by all. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Manlius Fire House, 8200 Cazenovia Rd, Manlius, NY 13104 from 1-4 p.m.
