I am so sorry to hear of Mr Goike's passing. I would go there every year to by my hanging begonia bags. He would also fill my large pots with the most beautiful plants and flowers. He had such a knack for plants and flowers. He was so kind and proud of his work. I know that Mary was a great help to him in those later years. He always remembered me when he would run into me at a store or an ice cream shop!! My condolences to his entire family.

Q: What will you never forget about William?
A: My favorite memory of Uncle Bill was running up and down the aisles of the greenhouse and him proudly talking about his wonderful plants and flowers. They grew the absolute best. When I bought my first home, he sent me mums and flowers to plant and they were gorgeous. I will never forget that gesture.

Mary and family, our sincere condolences on the passing of Bill. He was our go-to plant and garden source for the entire time we lived around the corner from him. Bill was a gentle soul and an incredible source of information. We miss him. Unfortunately, we are away at this time, but know that we are with you in spirit in the celebration of Bill's life.

I always went to Goike's Greenhouse for my summer flowers. They were the best quality around. I would chat with "Mr. Goike" (I never called him Bill) and before I left, I gave him a hug. I would also run into him frequently at Wegmans and get another hug. What a sweet, kind, gentle man! My condolences to Mr. Goike's entire family.

Mary and Gene, you were Bill's earth angels.
He was a very kind soul ❤️. His passion and gift for the beautiful flowers and plants he grew and nurtured was enjoyed by many of us for many years.

So very sorry to learn of Bill's passing. For many years the only place my Mom and I went to get seasonal plantings was Bill and Joyce's greenhouse. I remember asking him if he would grow a pink poinsettia tree for me because I'm not a fan of red. Each year there was always 1 pink tree in the hothouse. Bill was a man of few words, but he had the best plants, made great evergreen wreaths and loved Joyce deeply. Sending deepest sympathies to Bill's family
