Annie, Susan, and family,
My prayers are with your family at your Dad’s, Grandfather’s, and Great Grandfather’s passing. He is always in my prayers
Your Dad was a special man and he always made me feel special when seeing him at Nancy’s. I always enjoyed talking with him.
When I think of all he has lived through in his 106 years, it boggled my mind! To think: He was born during the Spanish Flu, seen the Roaring Twenties and the stock market crash (and close to it a few other times), survived and thrive during the Depression, made it through WWII, seen the USA land a man on the moon, saw turn of the century……..to COVID and more.
During some of this time, he found the love of his life that lasted 50 year or more until her passing. Together they raised a very loving and caring family. He saw his grandchildren grow and even a great-grandchild born. He was truly blessed! And so, are we to have know him!
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. All the people he made feel special. He is in my prayers. Though we morn his loss, I am sure he is glad to be reunited with his love, Carmella, and together they are in the presence of Our Lord.
God Bless your soul, Uncle Mickey! May you rest in eternal peace and keep an eye on us down here.
With heartfelt sympathy and Love,
Rosanne Mastroeni (Nancy’s friend)

I worked with your father at the hotel in the 70s. My dad (Joe Colwell) was a bartender at the hotel and worked with your dad in the early years. I recall your father‘s nickname Dempsey; what a wonderful professional, hard-working man he was. He was a delight. What a beautiful long life. Rest well, Dempsey. Very sorry for your loss.
