Obituary of Barbara Jean Nolan

Barbara Jean Nolan, 81, died peacefully on Sunday at Loretto N.H. She was a resident of Liverpool and formerly of Eastwood where she grew up. Barbara graduated from Eastwood High School and pursued a degree in business at CCBI. She worked for several years at the Bruns Ins. Co., and also was a homemaker. She enjoyed her grandchildren, bingo and her greatest love was playing the piano. She was a former communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and choir member, current communicant of St. John's Church and former member of Bishop Grimes Community Players. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Margaret (DeWindt) OBrien, and her brother Richard O'Brien. Her family includes her husband of 60 years, Wesley V. Nolan, son Robert ( Sandy ) Nolan of R.I., Sharon (Dennis) Reilley and Mary Kelly of Syracuse , 10 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 23 from 3-6 pm at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson, 3111 James Street , Syracuse , NY . Funeral service will follow immediately at the funeral home. Burial will be private at St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Barbara to The Loretto Foundation, 1305 Nottingham Rd , Jamesville , NY 13078 .
