Jay T. Doane, 90, of Liverpool, devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on Friday. Jay was born in Marlborough, MA the son of the late Arthur and Beatrice Doane. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Margaret Weiskotten Doane.
Jay graduated from the University of Massachusetts, served in the US Navy and retired from General Electric after 35 years of service.
He is survived by his children: four sons: Kenneth Doane, James (Dorothy) Doane, Robert Doane, Edward Doane and two daughters: Catherine (David) Schibilia and Susan Dinehart (Michael Badore); brother: David Doane of MA; sisters: Beverly Putnam of VA and Betty Zamparelli of MA; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will 11am on Tuesday, October 22 at Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Calling hours are Monday from 5-7pm at the funeral home, 1217 N. Salina Street. Online condolences and flowers at www.shepardsonfh.com
