Mary Deborah Acker, 65, of Syracuse, died on Saturday at Community General Hospital. She had retired from working at St. Joseph's Hospital after 18 years. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her mother Nona Thayer, her son James Shore; daughter Jodie Acker, sisters: Melanie and Joseph Montanaro, Maureen Romancik and Thomas, brother Charles and Carolyn Thayer, With seven grandchildren: Jordan, Ariel, Janine, Jonelle Christian, Brooke and Bradley and two nephews.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7pm at the Welter-Price Funeral Home 3111 James Street.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 8:30 at the Welter-Price Funeral Home and at 9am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
