Rick, Paul, Peter, Kathy, Barb and Anne,
The news of your father's death saddened me, but also brought back many memories. Your Dad was a very kind and generous man. At times I would run into him at places like Wegmans and we would always have a long conversation, always about how I was doing.
Much of my time as a young boy was spent with your family. Learning to play Ping Pong or how to shoot a left handed layup in the backyard at 340. Early winter mornings headed to Lab for a full day on the slopes and always being the last off the mountain. Going to watch Paul run at a meet outside Rochester. A little foreshadowing I guess. Serving the wedding Mass at St. Charles with Rick. I think I was Zelig in a movie called "The Coffeys".
I have a new job and will not be able to attend the wake this afternoon, but will make Mass on Saturday. Again, my prayers are with your family at this time.
