Irene Riegelman, 80, of Syracuse, died on Friday at Van Duyn. She was retired from Wegmans.
She enjoyed celebrating the Holidays at home with her family and grandchildren. She loved being with her friends. Irene enjoyed people and loved to help others. She loved travelling and enjoyed walking. She was a communicant of St. Brigid's Church.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Herman Riegelman in June. Survived by her sons: Michael (Karen) of Ringgold, GA, Robert of Syracuse; daughters: JoAnn (Robert) Jarvis of Syracuse, Deborah Shane of Liverpool; grandchildren: Janine & Madeline Jarvis, Mark & David Shane, Katie, Elizabeth & Alexandra Riegelman; and 2 great-grandchildren: Xylah and Sahara Shane. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, November 27 in St. Brigid's Church on Willis Ave., with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-7 pm at Welter-Price Funeral Home, 3111 James St.
