Obituary of Peter E. Moro

Peter E. Moro, 68 passed away Tuesday at Crouse Hospital. Peter was born on January 21, 1945 the son of the late Nicholas and Antonette Longo Moro. He retired from Carrier Corp after 35 years of service and after retirement worked for Bowl Mor Lanes. An accomplished bowler and fierce competitor, Peter was a teammate on several championship teams throughout the Syracuse Bowling Association. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends to State and National Bowling Tournaments. Peter loved his family, his faith, and his New York Yankees. Predeceased by his parents and brothers: Joseph and Chester Moro. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Karen Hopkins Moro; children: Peter Moro, Annie Moro and TJ (Jacklyn) Hopkins; grandchildren: Trey and Teagan Hopkins; brothers: Roy (Joan) Moro and Onofrio (Mary) Moro; sister in laws: Janet Moro and Diane Moro; the mother of his children, Rosa Moro and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 13 at 9:00 am in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 12 from 4-7 pm at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street.
