Obituary of Frances D. Bleskoski

Frances (Mott) Bleskoski passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2013. Frances was born on July 12, 1911 to Frank and Mary Staub Mott in Syracuse, NY. After graduating from North High School and Central City Business Institute, she worked for her father's printing company, United Printing, as the bookkeeper. Frances was a communicant of Holy Trinity/St. John the Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Holy Rosary Society and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John. Holy Trinity was also where she met Albert (Al) Bleskoski. They were married in 1936 and had 14 children while living on the north side of Syracuse. Frances enjoyed reading, writing poetry, working crossword puzzles, sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery and playing pinochle. Frances was predeceased by her husband, Al in 2000 and sons: Donald in 1975 and Thomas in 1981. She was also predeceased by her parents, brother, Frank Mott, and sister, Mary Ann Cooper. Frances is survived by five daughters, Caroline (Edward) McGuire of Baldwinsville, Mary Hennessy of Oklahoma, Kathleen (Ronald) Veri of Lakeland, Judith (Francis)Cooney of North Syracuse and Susan (William) Judge of Syracuse; and by seven sons, Albert (Arlene) of Lakeland, Joseph (Brenda) of Alabama, Robert of Syracuse, William (Deborah) of Florida, Raymond of Syracuse, John (Rose) of Syracuse and James (Carol) of Arizona, 34 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home,1217 N. Salina Street, Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30am at the funeral home and at 10am in St. John the Baptist/ Holy Trinity Church, 406 Court Street. Burial in Assumption Cemetery following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to All Faiths Food Pantry, c/o St. John the Baptist/Holy Trinity Church.
