George M. Snyder III, 67 of Eastwood passed away Thursday at home. George was born on November 28, 1946 the son of the late George and Margaret Liberty Snyder. He was a graduate of Henninger High School and then served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. George worked for Allied Springs & Services and then retired from Magna. He was a life long member of National Rifle Association, an avid hunter and champion trap shooter. George was a jack of all trades and a master raconteur. He was an awesome father, brother and if you were blessed to have met or even talked to him he was a life long friend, doing whatever anyone needed whenever it was required. He was a very funny and generously kind hearted man, who will be greatly missed by all who's lives he touched. Survived by his daughters: Emily Snyder and Amanda Snyder; brother; Keith (Diane) Snyder; sisters: Beryle Valerino, Joyce (Donald) Brown, Caren Snyder and Debra (David) Stedman and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 30th from 4-7 pm at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James St. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Helping Hounds Dog Rescue in George's memory.
