Ray was my fathers dental assistant during ww2. He wrote me a personal letter regarding his experiences in ww2 and his relationship with my father. I was and am very grateful for Ray. I will pray for his soul.
I knew Ray from Holy Trinity, having been a member there since 1940 until it sadly closed. In my youth I wanted to be an altar server but as a public school student I was never invited. When I retired I asked Fr. Durr if I could serve & Ray helped me serve my first (and only) Mass. We were fellow Eucharistic Ministers. Ray was one of the good guys. Always a positive attitude, a smile & a firm handshake. I will remember him in my prayers. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family.
