Obituary of Ronald Lee Seeland

Ronald Lee Seeland, son of the late Henry Seeland and late Ruth Barry went to his heavenly father on Wednesday, September 10, 2014. He was born on June 8, 1937 and he graduated from Cathedral Academy, attended Lemoyne College and graduated from St. John Fisher College. Mr. Seeland served in the US Naval Reserves as a corpsman. He was employed at Rochester Welfare Department, then for New York State Parole from which he retired to operate the Cobblestone Hotel. After selling the Cobblestone, he was employed by Onondaga Case Management until his retirement in 2007. He was an avid organist and played for Our lady of Solace for several years. Mr. Seeland was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Comins) Seeland; daughters: Kimberly (Damon) Penny, Kristine Murphy; granddaughter, Caitlyn Murphy; cousin Carolyn Marie Armstrong; and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents, aunts and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10am in Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 10:30 in Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5pm at the funeral home, 3111 James Street. A special thanks to Hospice of CNY, Home Health Aids and Dr. Bingham and his staff. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY or Blessed Sacrament Church.
