Obituary of Faye Pitonzo McAllister

Faye Pitonzo McAllister, 92, of Syracuse died on Monday at James Square. She had retired from St. Joseph's Hospital and had formerly worked at Learbury's. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. She was pre-deceased by her husbands: Dominick "Ollie" Pitonzo and Charles McAllister and daughter Marlene Cutrone.
She is survived by her son David (Linda) Pitonzo of Syracuse; daughter: Diane Wells of Ellicot City, MD; sisters: Ann Canestraro (Manny) Leone, Josephine Canestraro Polito, Yolonda Canestraro Halpin, Annette Canestraro Tesoriero; grandchildren: Michelle Halstead, Patrick Cutrone, Robert Wells Jr., Tenley Pitonzo, Evan Pitonzo; 4 great-grandchildren; 12 step-children, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30am in the Blessed Sacrament Church with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 4-6pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson funeral home, 3111 James Street.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North Street, Liverpool 13088.
