William R. "Woody" Woods, 82, of Syracuse, died on Friday at Loretto. He was pre-deceased by his parents Paul & Esther Ayliffe Woods; a brother Robert Woods; and sisters: Shirley Wanser and Jane LaBarre. Mr. Woods retired from Onondaga County as a maintenance Supervisor. William was a former member of the Syracuse Air National Guard. He is survived by a niece Patricia (John) Barone and nephew Robert LaBarre (Patty Ryan).
Funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00 am at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, in Syracuse. Calling hours will be held from 9-10:00 am before the service.
