Leonard E. Kobuszewski, Sr., 84, of Syracuse, died on Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. He had retired from the Syracuse Fire Department in 1976 and was also a self-employed carpet installer. He was a lifetime member of the Pastimes Club. Leonard was predeceased by his parents Walter and Mary, his brother Robert and sister Virginia.
Koby is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan (Sellin); 2 sons: Leonard Jr. (Kathleen), Douglas; a daughter Joanne (Michael) Davidson all of Syracuse; 4 grandchildren: Geoffrey & Gregory Kobuszewski; Nathaniel & Matthew Davidson; 3 sisters: Pauline Palmieri, Helen Santorum, Bernadine Braun ; 2 brothers: Rev. Thomas and Charles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thank you to the 4 Irving - South Nurses Team, Bobbi, Becky, Robin, Samantha and their assistants.
As per Koby's wishes, there will be no services.
