Obituary of June M. Bruce

June Kane Bruce passed away on January 4th. June was born in Syracuse on September 28, 1916. She graduated from Madison Junior High and Vocation High School. June was employed by Carrier Corporation for 40 years and retired in 1980. She was a member of the Carrier's Retiree Club, the National and local AARP. At the local level June served AARP as office manager, board member and editor of the newsletter for many years. Recently, June was awarded lifetime honoree status by the local AARP chapter.
June is survived by her son Harwood Bruce of Montrose, Colorado, a granddaughter, and several cousins.
Funeral services will take place at 1:00pm Friday at Welter-Price Funeral Home, 3111 James Street, with burial immediately following in Oakwood Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 3112 Midland Avenue, Syracuse 13205.
