Elizabeth Jane Dixon, 85, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida passed peacefully at her home on February 1, 2015. Mrs. Dixon was a native of Syracuse and had resided in Oneida , NY for 43 years. "Betty Jane" was known for her warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family. She will be dearly missed.
Mrs. Dixon attended mass at Sacred Heart Church in New Smyrna Beach. She is pre-deceased by her husband Richard who died in 2011 and youngest daughter Patricia Dixon McGrath who died in 2014.
She is survived by her 3 children: Diane (Jim) Cadd of Atlanta, GA, Julie (George) Rest of Washington, DC, and Richard J. (Joann) Dixon II of New Smyrna Beach, FL; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 14 at 10AM in Assumption Church with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9-9:30 before the mass at the Frasier-Shepardson funeral home, 1217 N. Salina Street, Syracuse.
