Dear Aunt Josie: You are the flower in our hearts.
Spring on the farm at Butternut drive, brought joy shared and hard work.
Summer yielded the fruits of the beginning labor. Chuck, Irene, Dottie and I (Anna May) were so grateful to have been a part of it.
We were “pickers” then, learning rules of the summer berry patch on the farm.
We were “eaters” too – eating more than we picked!
We were “players” when the magic maze of cornfields were before us.”
We “loaded” corn on market day, marveled at your strength, as you worked by our sides
We “ate” the delicious preserves, veggies and fruits, made by your loving hands.
We “squirted” the cows milk, teased the cats and you laughed.
We “chased” the bulls, you yelled, and we quit.
We “rode” the mares, Old Dick too, then you smiled with loving care.
You shouted “bullheads”, we caught at the creek, cooked us supper, a bountiful feast.
“Agri-tainment” was a swing of the rope, a drop to the hay pile , with you there to hope.
The “Wisdom” of nature respect of land, Thank you Dear Aunt you gave us His Plan.
As for you my son be strong, through the grace that is ours in union with Christ Jesus. Take the teachings that you heard me proclaim in the presence of many witnesses and entrust them to reliable people, who will be able to teach others also. Take your part in suffering as a loyal soldier of Christ Jesus. The farmer who has done the hard work should have the first share of the harvest. Think about what I am saying, because the Lord will enable you to understand it all. 2 Timothy 2:1-5,7
Aunt Josie, God Welcomes you to his Garden Harvest.
We will miss you – My love and prayers follow you.

To Our Family in Honor of our Great Aunt Josie
God gave Great Aunt Josie a wonderful, graceful spirit, a giving heart, a beautiful soul and the gift of joy which was a tremendous attribute to share with her friends and family. Her smile and kind words were always a welcome to everyone's heart. She loved life and loved those living life. She truly cherished all of the time given to her by God. Know that we all need a time to grieve, a quiet time for reflection, a time to sift through precious memories. We all need a time to just "be", when we can open ourselves to God and let the reassurance of His everlasting love start to heal our broken hearts. God gave us the gift of time and one of its greatest uses is for prayer, prayer for the loved ones lost and those who need the healing of a broken heart. God will give us all strength to face this time of sorrow. Aunt Josie touched us all in her own unique way and she will remain in our hearts, forever...Blessings to you All, Dawn and Jim Atkins
