Obituary of Marion Corbett Dome

Marion Corbett Dome died peacefully on July 12 at the age 98 in Canandaigua, NY. She was born in 1917 in Syracuse, the daughter of Bert and Katherine Meyer. She attended Syracuse University where she met Theodore G. Corbett, whom she married in 1939. From 1945, she resided at 645 Terry Road in Westvale, NY. Theodore Corbett died in 1954 and in 1956 she married Robert B. Dome of Westvale. She served as an elder at Robinson Memorial Presbyterian Church in Westvale. An avid textile artist, she made award-winning hooked rugs and quilts. She is survived by four sons: Theodore G. (Christine) Corbett Jr. of Seaford, Delaware, James (Carolyn) Corbett of Bath, NY, Richard (Linda) Corbett of Canandaigua, NY, Christopher (Deborah) Corbett of Montclair, NJ; one daughter Katherine Dome (Skip) Creveling of Pittsford, NY; six grandchildren: Jessica (Nick) of Marion, NY, Gregory (Chrystal) of Manlius, NY, Geoff (Michelle) of Hoboken, NJ, MaryKate of Bath, NY, Scott of Canandaigua, NY and Neil Creveling of Manhattan, NY; 3 great granddaughters and a cousin Richard (Nancy) Way of Bridgeport, NY. The family wishes to thank the staff on the Gardens at M M Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua, NY for their constant and longstanding loving and compassionate care of our Mom/Grandma. In her memory donations can be made to Thompson Health - designate for M M Ewing Continuing Care Center at 350 Parrish Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424. Services will be private. The Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
