Obituary of Angela T. Caruso

Angela T. Caruso, 83, of Syracuse, died on Monday at James Square Nursing Home. Mrs. Caruso had retired from Syracuse University and had formerly worked for the Syracuse City School District. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and a member of the Altar & Rosary Society. Bowling, golfing and spending time with her family were some of Mrs. Caruso's favorite activities.
Her brother Chuck Cifra and sister Virginia Vanelli had pre-deceased her.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Patsy; daughters: Marie Caruso of Syracuse, Patricia Cultrara of Grand Island; sons: Mark, Michael and Charlie all of Syracuse; brother Anthony Cifra of Syracuse; sister Josephine D'Aquino of Buffalo; 3 grandchildren: Travis, Christian, Lillian; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3-6pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home with a funeral mass to follow in Blessed Sacrament Church at 6PM. Burial will be private in Assumption Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
