Barbara J. (Touranjoe) Haas, 78, of Eastwood, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday morning She was a graduate of Valley High School and Oswego State University. She retired as the Director of Operations at the Onondaga County Board of Elections and was a former school teacher. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and a volunteer with the Outreach Program, particularly the Food Pantry. She was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all who were lucky enough to know her. She was pre-deceased by her parents James and Laura Valait Touranjoe.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert, and their 4 beautiful children: Todd (Kim) of Eastwood, Stacey (Fred) Harris of Webster, Susan (Bill) Sperger of Lansing, John (Agnes) of Cicero; brother Jim (Dolores) Touranjoe of Liverpool; 6 fantastic grandsons: Ryan & Casey Harris, Kyle & Jason Haas, Samuel Haas and Zackary Sperger; as well as, several wonderful nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Mass will be Monday at 10:30am in Blessed Sacrament Church with entombment to follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Calling hours are Sunday from 2-5pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church Outreach Program, 3127 James Street.
