Joan Elizabeth Carter, 79, of Syracuse, and a longtime resident of North Syracuse died on Saturday at Loretto. She retired in 1998 from Home Aides of CNY as a home health aide. She enjoyed walking downtown and shopping.
She is survived by her 2 sons William “Bill” J. (Terri) Carter Jr., and Timothy J. (Patty) Carter; sister: Nancy (Robert) Krause; 3 grandchildren: Dylan, Danielle, and Paige Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1pm at the Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home with interment to follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Friends can greet the family from 11-1 before the service.
