Laura,
Holly and I want you to know how sorry we are to hear about Charlie. We express our deepest sympathy to you and your family at this difficult time. There was certainly something very special about Charlie. Although I only met him a handful of times he never failed to make me laugh. He was a genuine and sweet man with a wonderful sense of humor. I know that he will surely be missed. Please know that we are thinking of you.
Love, Kristin Reinhart

I met charles at St camillus, we were under the care of ray Perkins. Charles was a good friend to me and one of the only tbi survivors that remembered me and gave me a smile ever everytime I saw him. I wish I would've known if something was going on with him I would've spent more time with him but I'm not too active in the tbi community much anymore. I will be thinking of him and be sure he knows.
my condolences

Charlie and I attended High School together. We proudly graduated in the class of 88. He was a friend to so many. His smile will be missed, as will his friendship. Know how glad we all were to reconnect on Facebook after all these years on our class page. Our prayers and love to his entire family.

I worked with Chaz at the David Clark Learning Center. He was an amazing person who taught me a lot about myself. The most important thing he taught me was how to stay positive no matter the circumstance. Chaz had a charm about him that will forever be missed at the center. In fact, Chaz was the very first member that spoke to me when I went in for my interview, and he made me feel so comfortable and welcome. There's no doubt that knowing Chaz has helped me become a better person. Condolences to all who will miss him.

My fondest memory of Uncle Charlie was when he taught me how to dig up worms in the front yard of grandpas house so that I could go fish at the lake when I was a boy. I regret not being able to connect with you later in my life. You will be missed and may you be in a better place.

Chuck was a dear friend of mine at Utica College and I am so sorry to hear of him passing at such a young age. He was an amazing guy -- I'll never forget his smile and how welcoming he was to absolutely everyone. He never meant a stranger. After the accident everyone was so worried he would never be the same but his loving spirit and tenacity could never be taken from him! I only regret not having stayed in better touch with him after he returned home. Facebook has been such a blessing, for I wouldn't even have known anything more about his life, much less that he had passed, were it not for still being connected to some of our mutual friends. I am in deep meditative prayer for the seeming-randomness of God's timing, to take someone so young and beautiful and generous-hearted, but apparently his earthly tasks had been fulfilled and he has now been called forth into the next realm, to spread his beautiful love in heaven. God bless Charles's family who surely endured more fear and pain than anyone should, even as you also had the blessing of Chuck's wonder-filled spirit. Peace be with you all and please remember to take as much time and mourne in whatever way is right for you!!!

I graduated from Camden High with Charlie in 1988....I remember very well how he could look very serious and studious and then just break out this infectious smile ....when we graduated he looked at me and said "well Mis..I'm gonna be the fat guy driving a Porsche at our Class Reunion"....I believed him and we laughed picturing ourselves many years down the road...he was a very popular guy, yet he could charm and carry on with anyone. He was years beyond his actual age...an old soul with a kids heart and smile. We now have a new angel.....You made quite an impact in your time here...yet the body tires ...RIP our friend...I know I can speak on behalf of the Class of '88 when I say..."we just lost one of our very best. <3
