Dear Al and your family, I send my condolences to you all today. I have thought of Vera often in this last year and was very pleased to see the newspaper picture of you both for your anniversary. Vera accomplished more than I even knew. We attended Percy Hughes School together and enjoyed our reunions over the years. The last time we saw each other was at the Digney reunion and Vera gave me a DVD of the other ones, which I appreciate very much. You are such a loving family and I send my best to you all.

To the families of Vera Mae,
Momma Ditch was a special lady. When I joined the Ditch/Bennett family back in the 70"s Momma Ditch made me feel like I was special. She opened her arms to welcome me in and it never stopped. Love is all I felt and knew!!
Thank you, Vera Mae, for your sweet open arms and for reflecting the same way Jesus opens His arms to everyone.
Jesus has opened His arms to you in in a glorified place, Vera Mae. John 14:3 "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also".
So sing in joy Vera, as Psalm 16:11 says: "In Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore".
May God send His comfort to all of you.
With Love,
Mary Catherine Maule (Trinca)

What an honor to have known Vera in my youth. I loved listening to her sing! Especially, I remember "My Grandfather's Clock" and "You Wore a Tulip." I loved the kindness she showed to everyone, and I loved the fact that she was always happy. I never saw her angry and never heard her say anything negative about anyone. Without reservation, I can say that Vera had a positive effect on who I am today. She,and all her family, helped to make my formative years bearable. To say I love them all is an understatement. May the Lord give you His peace.

I met Vera and her family in the early 60's as her paper boy. And was drawn to her warm and heart felt personality. As the years passed we remained GREAT friends; And in some strange way the Holy Spirit guided me to stay close to the family and Vera. She helped me after I had minor surgery, and when I really needed someone to talk with when both my parents died. In earlier years I even became her son's scout leader. I'm just pointing out Vera was ALWAYS there! Her advice and guidance throughout my life was priceless and I know God worked through her my entire life! Jesus, this earthly angel lived her entire life through You. Grant her and her family the reward of peace, understanding, and acceptance, and most of all REJOICE as I know she would want. Vera is finally home with her loving father for eternity!!!! AMEN

Carol,
I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She certainly lived life well. Raising a beautiful, talented, caring woman is no accident. She gave us you - and I am abundantly grateful for that! I pray that God keeps you and your family close now. May her memory be eternal.

AL, Carol, Allen, Kevin & Vanessa, I was so sorry to read of Vera's passing this morning! So MANY wonderful and fun memories of her from many years past: The Ditch grocery store across the street from where I grew up, run by Vicki, the many shows backstage and on, the Christmas in June parties and decorations and many good talks over the decades. She always looked out for everyone she knew and, I'm sure, will continue to do that! She was a sweetheart and so very proud of her children and all they did.
My thoughts are with you all now and the memories even fresher because of this so can never be lost. Know she will always be with you all and laughing with you.
Much love
Tank

To a beautiful woman, a wonderful friend and a Christ-like child of God - - - you shall be missed a great deal in this world and among your family and friends; but, you will never be far from our hearts and memories. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself to me and so many others. I feel so priviledged to have received Holy Communion with you not too long ago. Your suffering has ended, but your work has not. You have many to keep watch over. Be at peace now in your Heavenly Home with our Lord and your family and friends who have gone before you. To the "Ditch" family - - - you all are in my prayers and thoughts at this most difficult time, but be assured you will be comforted by our Lord and the knowledge that Vera is happy and at peace. Visually she is not with you, but she will always be in your hearts and memories. Take comfort in the love, prayers and thoughts others share for all of you. God Bless your Soul, Vera; and God Bless all of you who morn her loss. Love and Prayers, Charmaine Woods
