Francis Safin, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday. He was born on January 21, 1926 in Boonville, NY. His parents were Karol and Anna Flis Safin. He had attended Syracuse University for 2 years and served with the US Navy overseas during WWII and the Korean War. He had worked at GTE in the data processing department. Mr. Safin is a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph and sisters: Wanda Fukes and Sophia Safin, Frances (Edwin) Banas. His family includes his loving wife of 59 years, Norma; son, John Francis Safin of Glendale, AZ; daughter, Sandra (Paul) Schad of Minoa; his beloved grandsons: Michael and Jason Schad; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home.
