Rhonda , Kim, Mike and family words alone cannot describe how we feel about the loss of Rick. You are like family to us and we will deeply miss his waves and smiles and friendly chats. We will always think of him. We will always remember his birthday is in August because him and Donald always kidded that all the good guys are born in August. I will see him mowing your lawn no matter who's on the actual mower. Rick was a wonderful person who always made time for a chat no matter the weather. Again our deepest regrets and if there is now or forever anything we can do for you please please never hesitate to ask. We love you all.

I was shocked and saddened from reading of Rick's passing. He was a wonderful person and I developed a great friendship working along with him through Merchants Bank and all the mergers leading up to M&T. He taught me a lot,and afforded me many wonderful experiences that I would have never had, if I didn't know him. He was a "Class Act" and a real gentleman at all times when we were out calling on school districts and political events. I would have to say that he was very instrumental in my becoming Vice President at Onbank and M&T. We had several nice lunches together, and he always had a very positive outlook on life, and had a way of making you feel as though you mattered in the banking world. I shall miss him as I am sure all of his coworkers shall, and I wish you, his family , my condolences and I am sure he shall have a special place in the life beyond.

I was very saddened to read of Rick's passing. I was fortunate enough to be a young bank counsel and deal with him and Brad Tite and others at The Merchants National Bank & Trust Company of Syracuse (full name lol, which I was constantly reminded of in those days). To say he was a "good guy" sounds trite but that is exactly what he was and how I will remember him. He always had a smile for you and whenever he called me it was always a cheery voice saying something like "counselor, Rick Fults here, how is it going today?". The other things that I remember vividly were his loyalty to the Bank and his knowledge and tremendous professionalism he exhibited in the course of his duties. Rick knew all about municipal finance and as a young bank attorney, he took the time to educate me about it and usually mixed in a few jokes or funny stories which helped get me through the municipal finance morass.
My sincere sympathies to Rick's family. He was a wonderful and genuine person and I feel blessed that I was able to work with him for so many years when I was the Bank's attorney.

I could write a book on all of the wonderful memories I cherish of Rick. Growing up while living next door to your cousin, especially when it was Rick, was the greatest. Memories from the times on Thanksgiving at our grandparents we would make out our Christmas list together while checking out the Sears and Montgomery Ward catalog to being attendants in each others weddings. Rick never had a negative attitude. Loved his family, job and all around him.
My heart goes out to Rhonda, Kim, Mike and beautiful grandsons. I know how much he loved you and how proud he was of each of you. Thank you Rhonda, Kim, Mike Jr for coming with Rick so Gary and I could visit his parents house in Feb before it sold. That three hours will be with me forever as it turned out to be our last time together.
We will all continue to carry this great loss but be thankful for the time we had him. Hope the wonderful memories will ease the pain.
Love you all, Nancy and Gary

It was such a shock to hear of Ricks sudden passing. He will truly be deeply missed. Having worked with Rick over the last 30 years, he was the calm and reassuring voice on the other end of the phone when I would call from North Syracuse schools in the early days. He became a true friend over the years, always smiling, always the kindest words in any conversation. A gentleman and a very kind sole. He will be missed by many. So very sorry for your loss and our loss.

My sincere sympathies go out to Rick's family. I served with Rick in the National Guard and worked with him for 26 years. We shared many humorous times together. Rick was a man of character who treated everyone with equal respect. If I had to use one word to describe Rick, it would be "class". He will be greatly missed.

To Rick's family - I was shocked and very saddened to hear of Rick's passing. Shortly after he retired I called him to wish him well as he had deserved to enjoy his time with family and friends. I was a "friendly" competitor of Rick's having met him 35 years ago. He was beloved by his customers and respected by his fellow bankers, like myself. Rick was a true gentleman, always quick with a smile, handshake and funny story. I was proud and priviledged to have known him, and enjoyed his friendship. My sincere condolences to all.

To All the Fults Family,
So saddened to hear the news of Rick's passing. So many wonderful memories of Rick @ M&T. Absolutely the kindest person I worked with there! always had a smile & kind word for anyone no matter how his day was going; a true gentleman. Many a night burning the midnight oil well after other co-workers had gone home. So sorry that his retirement years were cut so short cause he sure deserved them. May memories of your happier times together allow you all you to get thru the coming days, weeks & years. I am sure Rick would want us to celebrate his fabulous life not dwell on his untimely death. Rest in Peace Fultsie!

Dear Rhonda, Michael, Kim and families, I was saddened to hear of Rick's passing. He was a man of character,a hard worker, and so dedicated to you. Seeing him in church on Sunday mornings, for me, was somewhat like seeing a little piece of my grandfather, Fred Brizee. Rick always had a smile, a hug, and a kind word. I was thrilled when he agreed to mentor my daughter but now understand why he hesitated. I'm just glad she was able to know him a little better and learn from him before he was unable to continue. I'm sure he taught her a lot in that short time. Rick was an important member of our church and served his Lord well through the works he did there. He will be missed by many at Collamer United Church, but especially by me and my family as he holds a dear place in our hearts due to our personal connection. Hoping you find serenity in the memories of Rick at this difficult time. Fondly, Susan

Rhonda, Kimberly, Michael,Gary, Nancy and Sandy,
My sincere condolences to each and everyone of you.
I was very sad to hear about "Ricky" when I talked to Nancy. Ricky was a neighbor, childhood friend, classmate and playmate throughout my years of going up. We played kickball in front of his house, we played baseball in the field behind my uncles house and through all those years, I always saw Ricky smiling. When I worked in Syracuse, I ran into him in his early career with Merchants. My mom would always keep me updated when she saw Mr. & Mrs. Fults. Merchants Bank was her bank so she kept tabs on Ricky.
To Rhonda...I remember when you and Ricky started dating and I said, he can walk to your house, he does not need to borrow his parents car. I saw the connection between you and Ricky many years ago and was happy to hear you two were married.
I read his comments in my 1966 year book and he said, "to a good friend I've always thought a lot of." He signed his name Dick. Now he was not Rick to me or Dick to me, he was always my childhood friend that we rode the school bus together and he was "Ricky".
May you find comfort in your memories and your love for him.
RIP my dear friend from my childhood. God Bless!!
