Theresa Filippone, 102, of Syracuse, died on Tuesday at Iroquois Nursing Home.  She had formerly worked at Haylor, Freyer & Coon Insurance.  She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and a member of the Altar & Rosary Society.  She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Council 5398.  Her husband Carmen died in 2010.
Mrs. Filippone is survived by a son Michael of Syracuse; a sister Margaret Hennen of Syracuse; a brother Father Sam Matarazzo of Louisville, KY; nieces: Marie Pullano, Antoinette Muhl, Anne Williams, Margaret Leogrande, Margaret Ann Pompo, and Marie McLaughlin.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 8:45 at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home and at 9am in Blessed Sacrament Church.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Mausoleum.  Friends can greet the family before the mass from 8-8:45am at the funeral home, 3111 James Street.
