Joan E. Schad, 87, of Lyncourt, died on Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a brief illness.  Mrs. Schad was a graduate of St. John the Baptist High School and was a communicant of St. Daniel’s Church.  She was previously employed by MetLife Insurance before she stayed home to raise her family.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Lawrence; parents John & Mae Brogle and sisters: Sr. Joan Mary Brogle CSJ and Virginia Duskee.
She is survived by sons: Larry of Lyncourt, Mark (Amy) of Camillus, Paul (Sandra) of Minoa; daughter: Karen (Jim) Jones of Alpharetta, GA; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Funeral services are Saturday at 8:30am at Frasier-Shepardson Funeral Home and 9am in St. Daniel’s Church.  Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.  Calling hours are Friday from 4-7pm at the funeral home, 1217 N. Salina St.  Contributions may be made to St. Daniel’s Church.
