Shirley Y. Cinqmars, 91, of Cicero, died on Monday at The Cottages.  Her parents were William and Yula Killam York.  She was a graduate of Eastwood High School and had formerly worked at Southern Bell Telephone Company.  She was a communicant, member of the Altar and Rosary Society, and a visiting Eucharistic Minister at Blessed Sacrament.  Mrs. Cinqmars was a member and past president of the Knight of Columbus Council 5398 Ladies Auxiliary.  She also volunteered for over 15 years at Francis House and was past president of the Auxiliary of Francis House.  She was also a life member of the Associates of the Sisters of St. Francis.  Shirley’s family would like to the thank all of the staff at The Cottages for the wonderful care they gave to their mother.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Paul, son Daniel and brother William York.
She is survived by a son Gary (Sharel) of Constantia; daughter Paula (Larry) Hoffman of North Syracuse; a daughter-in-law Leslie Cinqmars of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a sister-in-law Joan York of Ballground, GA; 4 grandchildren: Jordan, Baker, Bridget (Nick) Grosso, Brian; great-grandchildren: Gavin, Amelia, Dominick, Noelle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services and burial will be private in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dewitt.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of CNY or the SPCA.
