Frederick J. Geraty, 76, of Syracuse, went peacefully into Jesus's arms on December 29th 2018. He was surrounded by his loving wife, two sons, their spouses, and his grand-children. Fred was born in Herkimer, NY and was the son of Peter and Mary (Shaul) Geraty. He graduated from Herkimer High School & Alfred State Tech, and worked as a project manager for construction corporations for 45 years and as a handyman since he retired. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Arline (Bennett); sons, Shawn (Stacey) and Todd (Rachel); 12 grand-children; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family he loved dearly. A memorial service will be held at Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James St, Syracuse, NY 13206, on Saturday January 5th, 2019 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Syracuse Teen Challenge, 124 Furman Street, Syracuse, NY 13205.
