Obituary of Antoinette S. Wake

Antoinette S. “Toni” Wake, 75, of Syracuse, died on Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  She had retired after 30 years as a school nurse with the Syracuse City School District.  She was a communicant of St. Daniel’s Church and volunteered at the Fall Festival.  Mrs. Wake enjoyed going to the Casino and playing BINGO.  She loved her family, especially her kids and grandchildren.
Her brother George Straub pre-deceased her.  
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John H. Wake; her sons: Jon (Lisa) of Minoa, Daniel (Klarissa) of Camillus; her brother Peter (Pauline) Straub of S. Carolina; sister-in-law Phyllis Straub of Baldwinsville; and grandchildren: John Ryan Wake, Samantha Carioti, Olivia Wake, Alexander Wake.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 9am in St. Daniel’s Church with burial to follow in Assumption Cemetery.  Calling Hours will be Monday from 4-7pm at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James St.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Daniel’s Church.
