While it has been quite sometime that I worked with Egon I had the good fortune to be in his store this spring while he was in town and in the store. I recall many successes he was able to facilitate for me while I was in the jewelry business working for Zale Jewelers and eventually Finlay Fine Jeweler Corp. My memories of Saturday morning breakfast's at Harrys are vivid and do bring a smile. I was happy to see him this spring, and while its been many years, he still made me listen to his insights and kindness of which I welcomed. Quite accurately the best jeweler and friend one was lucky to find. Ruhe in frieden mein freund.

Egon was a remarkable man. He was bright, charming, motivated and talented.
An immigrant, Egon worked hard and became more than a talented jeweler. He was a craftsman.
Egon was also a businessman, opening and operating his own jewelry store for many years.
Egon's story is a success story, not only in business but as a family man.
My sincere condolences to Egon's family.

Arlene, Manny, & David;
My mom Alice (Bisson) loved Egon. They laughed and joked, he always treated her so good, as you know she loved working for him. Many wonderful memories. She would be so sad to hear of his passing. I know that if she understood she’d want to be there to say goodbye, sadly she can’t be. When she is having a good day, she will mention him from time to time. On her behalf of her, I really wanted to send lots of love to you all & of course the rest of his family too. You are in my thoughts and prayers. You all were blessed to have such an amazing man in your life. I was honored to know him.

Egon was a beloved and trusted Syracuse businessman. Many would shop exclusively with him. My family would even come from Rochester to do business with him because of his quality products and honesty. I will remember him every time I look at my engagement ring and recall how he searched for the perfect one for me. Arlene-- please accept my deepest sympathy.
