Egon “Opa” Albert Ehrlinspiel, 91, of Fayetteville, NY, founder and owner of Egon Ehrlinspiel Jewelers, E. Syracuse passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, in Palm Coast, FL.
Egon was Born in Alzey, Germany on May 1, 1927 and immigrated to the US in 1954. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Friedel Ehrlinspiel and is survived by his loving wife, Arlene (Armstrong) Ehrlinspiel, his son, Manfred Ehrlinspiel and daughter Karin (Mike) Thack. Grandsons David (Kristy) Martin, Jason (Molly) Ehrlinspiel and Kristopher (Christen) Ehrlinspiel. Granddaughters Kriston (Kent) Ward- Lewis, Katharina (Tirrell) Singletary, Tracy Thack, Tara Thack. Great grandchildren Corey Ward, Brianna Martin, Samantha Martin, Makenzie Ward, Erika Ehrlinspiel, Grace Ehrlinspiel, Olivia Ehrlinspiel, Peter Ehrlinspiel, Amber Thack, Luke Low, Isaac Low, Demari Singletary, Amariah Singletary and great great grandsons Benjamin, Tanner and Jaden.
His love for his family was undeniable and his affection for all the people that worked for him immense. He was our patriarch, our rock and he will be sorely missed by us all.
Calling hours are 9:00-11:00 AM on Saturday, December 1, 2018. at Goddard-Crandall Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James St., Syracuse. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 800 Grant Blvd.
