So many special years at 6th Lake with Dan. He was part of our family and watched as our children and grandchildren grew up there. Dinners as we all gathered and of course the campfires. He loved it when my Dad came up and couldn't wait to sit down and visit. Our time at the lake is bittersweet now as we imagine Dan walking over to catch up on everyone's winter. His faith was a proud strength for him. May you RIP Dan. We will miss you. The Lupole Families

To the Carmichael family my heart felt condolences. The memories of the camping trips with the Crottys to Wescott Beach State park and to Beaver weekends at Sabattis Scout camp with dad (Rip Collins) and Dan are forever in me. I was lucky enough to have visited Dan in 2016 at his home in Inlet. It was great to see him again, have a beer and talk about the old days.
Below is a picture of the visit, great time.
Again, my condolences for the loss of a wonderful man.

My dad loved the outdoors he was always the happiest puttering and taking his walks down 7th lake road saying hi to all he saw on his travels. My dad and brother tom loved to build campfires god probably saw them from heaven they were that big! Friends and family loved to sit by the fire talk listen to the animals share in some campfire food and drinks and of course get eaten by mosquitoes. My dad was very blessed in many ways his love for the boy scouts knights of Columbus his friends his love for his cats his love for his five kids. Kay his son in laws mark and Bobby his daughter in laws kelly and clare his grandchildren his love for being Irish and visiting Ireland he was a true Irishman!! I was fortunate to have met the Rock 50 years ago. He was a great guy and I always enjoyed being around him at your house on Delmar. Many wonderful memories of him and Mrs. Carmichael. Glad he lived a full life. I hope you all have many wonderful memories that comfort you now and in the future. My condolences to you all.

Wishing peace to the Carmichael Family from all of us at Longhouse Council, BSA. Dan will be remembered fondly in so many ways but most especially as a busy Sabattis Scout Reservation beaver. We see Dan everywhere we look in the abounding beauty at SSR. If we listen closely, we will hear his laughter on the gentle breeze. God bless you all.
Tim Herne, District Director Longhouse Council.
